PLAY ON: 3* Orlando Magic (-5) over Portland Trailblazers - 7:05 pm EST Tonight we have an easy winner for you with the Orlando Magic (-5) over the Portland Trailblazers. This is a great scheduling spot for the Magic as they catch Portland on an extended road trip, playing the second end of a back-to-back with this being their 3rd game in a four night span. Another consideration is how they won last night as they trailed by 7-points late then came from behind to beat Miami. Portland has been a great story this year and certainly deserves any accolades they get but today we have to go against them. In their most recent six road games they have three wins and three losses. The three wins came against sub .500 teams while the losses came against teams with winning records all of which were decided by 7 or more points. The Magic had a great start to the season but have not played as well lately with an 8-13 SU record their last 21. They are coming off a bad loss to Charlotte on Wednesday as they lead by 19 early in the 3rd quarter but were then outscored 56-31 and lost. That poor showing and the fact that they’ve had three full days of rest makes this a perfect spot to play on them. Orlando with Dwight Howard will have a decided advantage on the boards as they are 8th in the league in rebounding while Portland is 26th. Take the Magic tonight in what should be a double digit victory.

Under 196 New York at Miami Saturday – 7:35 pm EST The Knicks and the Heat are the two worst teams in the Eastern Conference with a combined record of 20-56. The primary reason behind each team’s awful record is an equally awful offense. The Heat is 26th in the NBA with 93.8 points per game while the Knicks are barely head in 25th with 94.6 points per game. Both franchises, which not long ago ran the Eastern Conference, are in shambles offensively and this game will be no different. While New York’s offense every so often shows signs of being a quality unit, Miami’s does not. During the Heat’s ugly 11-game losing streak, they have averaged just 88.9 points per game in their 10 non-overtime games, never scoring higher than 98 points. The return of Shaq might suggest that the offense will improve but career-lows across the board, including just 14.3 points per game, suggest otherwise. The Knicks offense has shown signs of life the last two games but it’s safe to say those games are just an aberration. They averaged just 92.8 points per game in their 11 games prior, which is a much better indicator of where this offense stands. This game marks the second meeting of the year between Miami and New York and the first meeting was one of the ugliest games in the league this year. The Heat pulled out a 75-72 win in a game that totaled a measly 147 points. The teams combined to shoot just 21.9 percent from three-point range and 40.5 percent overall while committing 34 turnovers. This game may not be that low-scoring but it definitely won’t exceed 196 points. Take the under.

San Jose Sharks Money Line (+) vs Detroit @ 9:30 ET
There is no sense going into great detail here. It is a very busy basketball Saturday so we will keep the analysis short here to save you time on a busy day. The fact is that most "trend" guys will be on Detroit here. The Red Wings have enjoyed success against the Sharks in recent meetings. However, this included last season's playoffs series win over the Sharks and San Jose certainly remembers this and remembers it well. San Jose will undoubtedly be focused on defending their home ice here and the Sharks have the goalie to get the job done. We understand that Evgeni Nabokov has struggled some in his recent games. We also understand that he has not enjoyed success against the Red Wings in his career. However he is the Western Conference starting goalie for this season's All-star game for a reason! Also, tonight's game is going to see a concerted effort from the hungry Sharks lead to a game where Nabokov may not even have to deal with a lot of Red Wings shots on goal. San Jose is very focused here and they will bounce back after their home loss to Dallas in their most
recent game. As for the Red Wings, they head into this game off of a shootout win over Vancouver. The motivational and travel edges favor the Sharks here and they get the job done on home ice!
