Well this is more of a statistic bet , but i just can't help taking it.Everybody knows Nadal has great matches on grass if he makes it to the final rounds.Why ? Simple to explain , the Grass starts to fade away and the surface becomes one that advantages his style.He may not have a serve that is great for Grass , but he can put pressure by playing a lot with his first serve.

If we look this week he served :

60% with first service against Bjorkman

67% vs Nishikori

71% vs Karlovic

74% vs Roddick

while Nole had :

66% vs Karanusic

69% vs Tipsarevic

77% vs Hewitt

63% vs Nalbandian

 

They only played one match on grass , last year , and after Nole won the first set , Nadal seemed in full control , before Novak retired.In that match , as i said Nadal was in control even serving with just 58% first service while Nole had his usual 64%.

 

Nadal has a great passing game , and we know that Novak still needs to improve at the net , so at these odds i prefer taking :

 

Nadal @ 2.23 with 6 units pinnacle

For today 2 bets :

 

Santoro @ 2.02 pinnacle with 3 units

 

Can't really understand why Del Potro is the favourite here , he has a good serve , but we all know The Magician has a lot of tricks a young Del Potro doesn't know , and comparing their activity on grass it's clearly who is more experienced : Santoro 50 matches , Del Potro 7 matches.

 

Cilic (+2 games ) @ 1.90 partybets with 3 units

 

Well , 3-0 H2H for Mathieu , they met last week on grass , all 3 matches were 3 set matches , I believe Cilic's second serve should be in better shape today than last week when he was clearly overpowered by Mathieu's returns .

Don't get impressed by Gicquel's last result , we all know the weak form Gasquet had this year , he had to withdraw from RG and it doesn't seem he is doing better on Grass either. Also Melzer has a 3-0 H2H advantage , but that doesn't say very much as all matches were 2+ years ago.

Still he comes with a higher moral advantage of loosing only one set in 3 matches against Gicquel , and the style Melzer has is hard to play against , with that weird serve of his.If he manages a good service percent he shouldn't have big problems :
