Culture live vilnius09 The millennium of Lithuania’s first historical mention got off with a bang. After threats to cancel the festivities were overcome, then some changes to the organising committee, the fireworks and sound show of Gert Hof finally took off on the dawn of 2009 above Vilnius Cathedral. There was much talk about the cost and necessity of this production, but the people of Lithuania arrived en masse, and enjoyed the experience.
