How do I transfer a domain from directNIC to another registrar?

You need to initiate the transfer request from the other registrar. In the process of confirming the transfer away, you need to obtain the transfer authinfo code from us. You can locate it by clicking the domain name under Domain Manager in your directNIC account. The authinfo code is listed under Details for the domain name.

 

After the transfer is completed, the domain will be deleted from your directNIC account within 30 days. You probably will still receive our renewal notices for the domain before the domain is deleted from your account. You can simply ignore the renewal notice if you are sure the domain has been successfully transferred to the other registrar.

 

The transfer is also affected by the Transfer Security setting of your directNIC account:

 

Normal Security: This will allow the transfer once you respond to the notification email. If you do not respond, your domain will still be transferred away within 5 days.

 

High Security: This will lock all the domains in your account and automatically decline the transfer. You need to unlock the domains or set it back to Normal Security if you need to transfer domains away.

 

If a domain is unlocked, it will be automatically relocked after 7 days with a default setting of Normal Security and 2 days with default setting of High Security. Keep in mind modifying a domain (such as changing contacts or nameservers) will always lock a domain.

 

To lock/unlock an individual domain:

 

Under "Customer Settings," select "Set Transfer Security." You can select the domain that is on High security or Normal Security and submit the transfer status change. This will unlock or lock the domain.

 

Expired domains cannot be transferred. If you renewed a domain after the expiration date, you will need to wait for 45 days (from the previous expiration date) before you can transfer the domain away.

 

Please note that you will not able to use any directNIC services after your domain is transferred away. We only provide services to domains registered with us.

Tuomet centrinis registras el. paštu nusiųs WHOIS duomenų bazėje nurodytam adreso savininkui užklausimą dėl inicijuoto perkėlimo, kurį jums reikės patvirtinti. Patvirtinus adreso perkėlimą, perkėlimas atliekamas per 7 kalendorines dienas.

 

Prieš perkėlimą būtinai įsitikinkite, kad į adreso WHOIS informaciją įrašyti jūsų kontaktai, priešingu atveju negausite perkėlimo užklausimo ir negalėsite patvirtinti perkėlimo.
