Position: Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and develop large-scale software systems

• Communicate effectively (in English) with globally distributed teams.

Requirements:

• University degree in Computer Science with at least 2 years of

experience preferred

• Proven track record of contributing to open source development is

highly desirable

• Exposure to web based software development or mobile

technologies or both

• Strong object oriented programming skills in C/C++ or Java.

• Strong experience in one or more of the following software

platforms/technologies,

Apache, Tomcat, XML

MySQL, PostgreSQL,

PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails

LDAP, OpenID

Elgg or Zimbra or Funambol or Kannel

• Experience designing and programming distributed systems, web

based platforms, network programming and/or Linux kernel.

• Experience in solving hard problems in computer science.

Position: Software Architect

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and architectural leadership for one or more

software engineering projects.

• Architect, design, and develop (hands-on) large-scale, complex web

based infrastructure systems.

• Mentor engineers and communicate effectively (in English) with

globally distributed teams.

• Use your technical influence to drive innovation and engineering

standards/best practices across the company.

Requirements:

• University degree in Computer Science with at least 3 years of

experience preferred

• Proven track record of contributing to open source development is

highly desirable

• Exposure to large scale web based software development or mobile

technologies or both

• Strong object oriented programming skills in C/C++ or Java.

• Strong experience in one or more of the following software

platforms/technologies,

LDAP, OpenID

• Extensive experience designing and programming large scale,

distributed systems, web based platforms, information retrieval

algorithms, network programming, Linux kernel and/or developing

large software systems.
