New York vs Dallas , Over 210.5 @1.91

 

For this game we have two teams who like to run and most of all they love to shot from the perimeter. Dallas and the Knicks are on the top in 3pts attempts per game: the Knicks are on the top with 29.3 ATT and Dallas is on the fourth place with 20.8 ATT so I wouldn’t be surprised if both teams scores more than 10 treys tonight, remember that the Knicks are 31-15 OVER versus teams who attempt 18 or more 3 point shots/game on the season over the last 2 seasons. 

The Knicks lost in Oklahoma against the lowly Thunder and coach Mike D’Antoni was a frustrated coach, after all the Knicks were trailing by much as 23 points and the offense was simply horrible, 13 assists and 14 turnovers are a bad mark for a team who plays in a run and gun style:

"We're going to get back to running more, that's on me," D'Antoni said. "We got too much 1-on-1 playing. . . . We're just jacking shots up sometimes."

“The ball sticks too much on offense,” D’Antoni said. “Which means offensively, the ball is sticking and there is a lot of too much one-on-one. We had 13 assists. We can’t do that. We’ve got to get it back up.”

So I expect a better effort from the Knicks tonight, the trio Nate Robinson, Wilson Chandler and Quentin Richardson combined 12-42 FG, an awful mark of 28.5 % FG and likely these 3 players will be fired up for today. 

Meanwhile Dallas won’t have any problems to score tonight; Dirk Nowitzki is averaging 29.3 ppg since the return from his suspension and against the Clippers, Dallas had 29 assists for just 9 turnovers (last 10 games they averaged 23.0 apg and just 11.8 TO/game), this a stat that tell us that they are sharing the ball and in game who will be a run and gun game they this will help them to get free looks to shot and easy points 

I think the correct line for this game would be 213/215 points, these two teams already faced in MSG and the game ended 112-112 in the regulation and I expect another high scoring affair in here, take the over!

 

LA Clippers vs San Antonio , San Antonio Spurs (-12.5) @1.91

 

I know that the Clippers are 3-0 in the last 3 games while being really shorthanded: they are without PG Baron Davis, his backup Jason Hart is also injured, PF Zach Randolph is still out, C Chris Kaman is out since October and their bench is without Mike Taylor and Ricky Davis, but I doubt that they will continue to cover game after game especially against top teams like the Spurs tonight.

I’ve study this team in those 3 games and there is 3 major factors for their unexpected competiveness: Free throws attempts; Marcus Camby’ crazy rebounds numbers and their backcourt who is really carrying this team. 

Let’s analyze the three factors: The Clippers had 31, 36 and 40 FT’s attempts in those games, they were extremely aggressive on the offensive end collecting a huge number of “free points”, I don’t believe that they will keep those numbers tonight as the Spurs are a smart team, in fact they are the team who allowed the fewest free throws in this league with just 19.6 FT’s per game. On the other hand the Clippers are one dimensional team right now, their frontcourt with Brian Skinner and Marcus Camby is useful only to grab rebounds (Camby and 23, 20 and 19 rebounds in those games) and it is their backcourt who is carrying the team, in the last game Gordon, Collins and Thornton ended with 24-56 FG which was 75% of the shots attempted on that game! The Spurs loves to play against these kinds of one-dimensional teams because they will pressure that strongest point and limited them.

The Spurs are a well rested team, this is the second game in 5 days and they are 28-9 ATS in home games when playing 6 or less games in 14 days over the last 3 seasons. I’ve found a favorable trend for such well rested teams: Playing on Home favorites having won 12 or more of their last 15 games, well rested team - playing 6 or less games in 14 days are 80-39 ATS over the last 5 seasons.

I don’t think that the Spurs will be a relaxed team on this game for two strong factors: first of all, already in this week the Spurs played at home against the Sixers and almost blew a 21 points lead, just a late shot by Tony Parker gave them that win (they started 40-19), so Popovich won’t allow the same story repeats tonight. The only factor is that this will be a National Tv game and the Spurs will have a great spot to make a statement game. Saying that I think this game will be a blowout game from the beginning and I’m taking the Spurs in here.

Dabar turėjau 4 laimėtų statymų serija, tai jau kad kažkuris nepraeis tai didelė tikimybė :D

Na Sixers lošia tikrai gerai, o Bobcats yra namų komanda- na ten pasispardo biški. O Magic lošė gana silpnai Atlantoje, o Atlanta lb gerai, bet vistiek Magic laimėjo, tad chatoj Magic turėtų nemaža persvara įveikt Atlantos komanda...
