We are in front of two teams, who have played two games each and all of them ended up being under. So, when we have a line of 190,5 points, it's important to find out until what point will the teams continue to underperform. Minnesota has already played against Sacramento and Dallas and in both of these two games, they presented a basketball with a nice rhythm, but they struggled to score. Yesterday, the team shot 79 FG, but some of their players had a terrible night: Mike Miller 4-11 FG; Al Jefferson 5-15 FG; Randy Foye 3-14 FG, in a combined of 12-40 FG! 30% FG! Today they will have a back to back game against a team who is far from the defensive level of Dallas.

 

The Thunder like I've said on my team preview is a team who likes to run. They simply couldn't score on their first two games. Against Houston last night, the team managed to score 21 points in fast break situations, in a clear sign that they like to play on a fast tempo. And just like the Wolves, the Thunder have also played last night a very tough defensive team, who had an huge offensive letdown after a great game at Dallas. Yao Ming, Ron Artest and Tracy McGrady shot a combined of 15-42 FG! 35% FG! As they couldn't score, they had to focus on defense.

 

Both the Wolves and the Thunder are teams who like to drive into the basket. The Thunder scored 48 points in the paint last night and the Wolves scored 44. In this matchup, naturally there will be a lot of fouls. The decisive matchup of this game will be between Kevin Durant and Mike Miller. Durant had a bad debut game against the Bucks, with 5-14 FG, 2 assists for 4 turnovers, showing to be extremely nervous. Yesterday he did much better: 11-20 FG, while having Ron Artest defending him almost the whole night.

 

I expect the Thunder to make their best game of the season until now, as they won't have the pressure they had on the first game of the season and they aren't facing a top defensive team neither. The Wolves like to run and last season when the Thunder (they were the Sonics last season) hosted Minnesota, the games had 199 and 237 points! When both teams play a back to back game and like to run and set a high tempo that usually means less defense and more focus on the offense and that's what I expect for this game.
