I have two problems here. The stats and the prices.

 

Here are the stats.

 

Australia have played in 19 tournament finals and lost 3.

 

New Zealand have played in 13 and lost 9.

 

The whole New Zealand team has scored six ODI centuries between them

(Ross Taylor 3 and Brendon McCullum, Martin Guptill and Grant Elliott one each),

Ponting has 28.

 

Australia have beaten New Zealand in six tournament finals. This will be

their first meeting in a final at a neutral venue.

 

Pakistan supporters are complaining that NZ only won because Simon Taufel

(an Australian Umpire) was officiating. That is a disgraceful accusation

and one I cannot agree with. They accuse him of wanting NZ in the final

to make it easier for Australia. He is the number 1 umpire in the world

and any cricket follower knows Pakistan blow very hot and cold and they

just had a bad day against NZ. End of story.

 

So the prices. Australia 1.46 and NZ 3.15.

 

I think Australia will win but I don't see it being that far apart. I rate

the prices 1.70 and 2.43 so at those prices we have to lay Australia.

 

I think the wicket will be great for batting and the team that wins the

toss will bat first.

Trade: Lay Aston Villa for £100 @ 2.96 and back at 6 for £49.33

Stop Loss: I don't have one because if Villa go one ahead I am staying

in and believe city will come back and equalise and if they go 2 ahead

the price will be 1.05 and there will be no exit anyway.

 

So either decide your own exit plan if it goes wrong or don't do the trade.
